[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 양주시는 신소득 작목으로 떠오르는 산채류의 재배기술 개발과 재배농가 육성을 위해 ‘농업기술 전문교육 산채반’을 개강했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 수강생 30명을 대상으로 오는 6월 4일까지 매주 금요일 오후 2시부터 5시까지 총 4회에 걸쳐 농업기술센터 교육장과 산채마을 현장에서 운영한다고 했다.

주요 교육내용은 초본, 목본, 양치류, 뿌리 등 산채류 파종법, 육묘기술, 재배기술 등으로 이론교육과 연계한 현장실습 과정으로 구성돼 있다고 전했다.

특히 산채류 재배 과정에서 접할 수 있는 현장 애로사항을 개선하기 위해 품종선택, 재배관리, 번식기술 등 재배 전반에 대한 해결방안을 제시하는 시간을 가질 예정이라고 했다.

양주시 농업기술센터 관계자는 “산채류는 재배기술의 향상으로 연중생산이 가능할 뿐만 아니라 단위당 생산성이 급증해 농가의 고소득 작목으로 자리매김하고 있다”며 “고품질 농산물 생산을 위한 영농능력 배양으로 영농현장의 당면과제를 해결함으로써 경영비 절감과 농가소득 증대로 이어지길 기대한다”고 말했다.
