조학수 부시장 주재로 열린 이 날 보고회는 사업별 소관 실·국·소장 등이 참석한 가운데 각 부서에서 추진하는 양주형 뉴딜사업의 이행상황을 점검하고 추가사업 발굴, 신규사업 공모 대응, 실행계획 구체화 방안 등을 심도 있게 논의했다고 했다.

 

특히 한국판 뉴딜정책과 연계한 양주형 뉴딜사업의 실행력을 높이고 정합성을 강화하기 위해 디지털 경제 전환, 저탄소 사회 전환, 더불어 잘 사는 안전망 구현 등 정책목표 실현에 초점을 두고 진행했다고 했다.

 

앞서 양주시는 지난 2월 ‘지역균형, 양주형 뉴딜 종합추진방안’을 수립했으며 한국판 뉴딜과의 정합성, 지속 가능성 등을 기준으로 실무부서의 검토와 정책자문위 회의를 통해 기존 76개였던 중점 추진사업을 53개로 전면 재정비했다고 전했다.

 

이에 따라 양주형 뉴딜사업은 ‘시민 모두가 누리는 새로운 성장’을 비전으로 디지털뉴딜, 그린뉴딜, 안전망 강화 등 3대 정책에 8개 분야 21개 과제 53개 세부사업에 대해 오는 2025년까지 국·도비 포함 9천여억원을 투입, 총 18만 6천개의 일자리 창출을 목표로 하고 있다고 했다.

 

양주시는 코로나19 장기화로 대내외적인 불확실성이 높아지는 여건 속에서 급변하는 행정수요와 환경변화에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 분야별 대표과제를 선정해 속도감 있게 추진한다는 방침이라고 했다.
