이번 사업은 소요동 주민자치위원회에서 2021년 특색사업으로, 마을 유휴지 등에 꽃길 조성을 통해 방치될 수 있는 공간을 꽃길로 탈바꿈시켜, 볼거리뿐만 아니라 깨끗한 환경에도 이바지한다는 계획으로 선정된 사업이라고 했다.
