[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군 육아종합지원센터는 오는 4월부터 어린이집이나 가정에서 사용하지 않는 장난감이나 아이의 성장으로 발달 연령에 맞지 않는 장난감을 기부 받는 재순환 프로그램 ‘TOY바다’를 운영한다고 31일 밝혔다.

기부된 장난감은 센터와 협약을 맺은 장난감 수리업체인 ‘장난감발전소’의 수리를 통해 새장난감으로 재탄생 된다.

이와 함께 가군 육아종합지원센터는 영유아의 예술활동을 촉진하고자 제2회 어린이 날 기념 사생대회 참여접수를 4월 10일부터 21일까지 받기로 했다.

참여대상은 관내 모든 영유아로 센터를 방문해 신청 접수하면 된다. 

행사당일 8절 도화지에 물감․색연필․사인펜 등 다양한 미술용품을 이용해 자유로운 주제로 그림을 그리면 된다.

아울러 센터 관계자는 사생대회 이외에도 다양한 행사 및 프로그램을 지원해 영유아의 즐거운 어린이집 생활을 조성하고 보육서비스를 향상시켜나가겠다고 전했다.

앞서 지난 2020년 가평군립 한석봉 어린이집 내에 문을 연 ‘육아종합지원센터’ 는 가정양육 보호자에 맞춤형 양육지원 전문기관으로 보육품질강화 및 보육 인프라 확대 추진을 위해 설치됐다.

이연희 센터장은 “이번 장난감 업싸이클링을 통해 버려진 장난감의 재탄생으로 탄소중립 캠페인에 동참하며 영유아 가정의 친환경 활동을 독려하고자 한다”며 “영유가 가정 부모들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란”다고 말했다.

한편, 장난감 기부는 센터 해움장난감도서관으로 하면 된다.
