[김현우 기자 = 원주] 원주시가 원주사랑상품권 부정 유통 근절을 위해 오는 25일까지 일제 단속을 시행한다고 밝혔다.

원주시는 지류 상품권 환전 및 가맹점 결제현황 자료 등을 검토해 부정거래가 의심될 경우 해당 가맹점을 현장 방문하여 조사하는 등 실질적인 점검을 실시할 방침이다. 

중점 점검 대상은 물품의 판매 또는 용역의 제공 없이 상품권을 수취·환전하는 행위(일명‘깡’), 실제 매출금액 이상의 거래를 통해 상품권을 수취·환전하는 행위, 가맹점 등록 제한 업종(사행산업, 유흥업소 등)을 영위하는 경우, 상품권 결제 거부 또는 상품권 소지자를 불리하게 대우하는 행위, 가맹점주가 타인 명의로 상품권을 지속 구매 후 환전하는 행위 등이다.

단속 결과 부정 유통이 확인되면 행정지도 및 가맹점 등록 취소, 과태료 처분은 물론, 심각한 경우 수사기관에 고발할 계획이다.

원주시 경제진흥과장은 “지역사랑상품권 유통 질서 확립을 위한 일제 단속에 가맹점주를 비롯한 시민 여러분의 협조를 당부드린다.”라고 말했다.
