[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 이상호 태백시장은 자동염수분사장치의 성능을 인증하기 위해 25일 국도38호선 ‘통리 송이재’에서 박진영 도시안전국장, 관계자 등과 함께 동절기 쾌적하고 안전한 도로를 위한 염수분사장치 시험 가동을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

시는 행안부 재난안전분야 특별교부세 총 12억원을 활용해 1차 사업으로 국도 38호선 송이재 3,600m 구간, 문화예술회관 소공원경사로 300m 구간, 국도 35호선 황지가스 앞 1,200m 구간, 두문동재 터널 앞 700m 구간 총 4개소에 자동염수분사장치 설치를 추진해 완료했다.

2차 사업으로는 오는 11월 말까지 철암주공아파트진입로 290m 구간, 아름다운나날아파트 진입로 200m 구간, 태백공원묘원 진입로 290m 구간 총 3개소에 자동염수분사장치를 추가 설치할 계획이다.

이상호 태백시장은 “염수분사장치 설치를 통해 상습결빙구간 및 제설취약지역을 해소하고 도로 이용자들에게 안전하고 쾌적한 도로환경이제공될 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다

이어 “내년에도 제설취약구간에 자동염수분사장치를 추가 설치해 주민 불편을 최소화하고 신속한 제설을 추진해 재난사고 및 교통사고 예방에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
