[김준호 기자=삼척시]] 박상수 삼척시장은 10월 12일 민선 8기 주요 현안사업장 현장점검을 위해 성내동 지역 주요 사업장 3개소를 방문했다.

「성내지구 도시재생사업」성내동 3-1번지 일원에 총사업비 344억 원을 투입해 대학로 생활환경 개선과  인프라를 확충하는 사업으로 지난 2019년에 착공했다.

성내지구 도시재생사업은 9개의 주요 단위사업으로 이루어져 있다. ▶삼산사 주변 가로환경 정비사업 ▶대학로  지중화사업 ▶주민 어울림 플랫폼 건립 ▶도시재생 어울림센터 리모델링 사업 ▶청년센터 건립은 모두 완료된 상태이다.

현재 ▶문화예술공간 조성사업과 ▶대학로 주차타워 건립사업 ▶대학로 분수공원 일원 문화공원 특화사업 등이 예정대로 추진되고 있으며, 2023년 말까지 마무리할 계획이며, LH와  추진 중인 ▶당저지구 행복주택 건립사업도 오는 2023년까지 127세대 공급을 목표로 하고 있다.

「삼척도호부 관아유적 복원사업」국가지정문화재 보물인 죽서루 일원에 총사업비 116억 원을 투입해 ‘객사와 동헌’ 복원 공사를 추진하는 사업이다. 

시는 2020년 12월부터 객사(진주관, 서·동익헌, 내삼문, 서·동·북익랑, 응벽헌) 복원 공사를 추진 중이며 올해 12월 말까지 객사 복원을 마무리할 예정이다. 또한, 2023년 3월부터 2024년 말까지 사업비 46억 원을 투입해 동헌(동헌, 내삼문, 남·서·동행각)을 복원할 계획이다.

‘삼척도호부 관아지’는 조선 후기 관아 건축으로서 역사·문화재적 가치를 인정받아 문화재청은 2021년 12월 20일 ‘삼척도호부 관아지’를 국가지정문화재 사적으로 지정고시 했다.

「삼척 어린이 과학놀이 체험관 조성사업」은 문화 혜택 소외지역 어린이를 위해 노후한 동굴신비관을 영유아 놀이공간, 각종 체험시설, 다목적 홀을 갖춘 어린이 과학놀이 체험관으로 리모델링하는 사업이다. 

지상 1층은 아동과 영유아들을 위한 놀이공간, 2층은 각종 미션 및 감성체험 공간으로 리모델링을 한다. 2022년 10월 준공예정이며, 12월부터 개관 준비 및 시범운영을 목표로 하고 있으며, 인근 어린이 테마파크 조성사업과 연계하여 시너지 효과를 극대화할 계획이다.
