[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시는 향후 4년간 '시 금고 지정 대상 금융기관'으로 농협은행 삼척시지부를 선정했다고 6일 밝혔다.

삼척시는 시금고 선정에 앞서 지난달 21일 금고지정심의위원회를 열었고, 심의 결과 농협은행 삼척시지부를 시금고로 선정하 것이다.

NH농협은행 삼척시지부는 시금고 업무 약정체결에 따라 오는 2023년 1월부터 2026년 12월까지 4년간 삼척시 일반회계·특별회계(공기업포함)·기금 등 자금 관련 모든 업무를 계속 수행하게 됐다.

시는 지난 9월 공개경쟁 공고와 재공고 기간에 단독 참여한 NH농협은행 삼척시지부를 대상으로 지난 9월에 삼척시 금고지정 심의위원회를 개최해 금융기관의 대내외적 신용도 5개 항목에 대한 적격성 평가를 통해 최종 삼척시 금고로 결정됐다.

박상수 삼척시장은 “농협은행이 더욱 친절하고 철저한 금고관리를 해 줄 것과 편리한 금융서비스 제공과 함께 삼척시의 경제, 문화, 시민복지 등의 증진을 위해 힘써달라.”고 당부했다.

한편, 지난 9월 28일 개최된 삼척시의회 제239회 정례회 행정사무감사특별위원회 2일차에서 행정감사특별위원장 이광우의원은 홍귀자 세무과장을 상대로 "강원도 18시·군의 금고지정 협약 체결시 지역협력기금이 지역마다 차이가 나는 점을 들어 농협은행 삼척시지부의 지역협력기금 1억5천만원은 적다라고 지적하고 추가 협상을 주문"한 바 있다.

삼척농협시지부는 금고 취급에 따른 반대급부로 지역협력사업비를 1억 5천만 원을 출연하기로 했으며 이와 별도로 금고관련 업무포상금으로 받은 2백만 원도 불우이웃돕기로 기부하기로 했다.
