[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 11일, 동두천시는 ‘제56회 납세자의 날’을 맞아 지방세 체납사실이 없고, 지방재정 확충에 기여한 성실납세자 180명을 선정하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 경품추첨은 최근 3년간 지방세(시세) 30만 원 이상을 기한 내 성실히 납부하고 체납된 세금이 없는 납세자 1만2천여명을 대상자로 선정하여 추첨의 투명성과 공정성을 높이기 위해 표준지방세 정보시스템을 통한 전산 추첨 방식으로 진행하였고, 무작위 추첨을 통해 선정된 성실납세자 180명에게는 지역상권 활성화를 위해 2~5만원 상당의 동두천사랑카드와 감사서한문을 동봉하여 우편 발송할 예정이라고 전했다.

동두천시 관계자는 “코로나19로 어려운 경제 여건에도 납세의무를 성실히 이행해 주신 모든 시민들께 감사드린다”며 “성실한 납세 시민이 더욱 우대받는 납세 풍토가 조성되도록 납세편의 시책을 지속적으로 추진하고, 또한 성실납세자에 대한 지원이 더욱 확대될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
