[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 1일 의정부시는 의정부시 태권도시범단이 청소년을 위로하고 응원하기 위해 의정부예술의전당에서 개최된 푸른별콘서트에서 창단 후 첫 시범공연을 선보였다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 안병용 의정부시장, 오범구 의정부시의회 의장 등 많은 내외빈과 500여 명의 청소년이 함께해 성황을 이루었으며, 특히 태권도시범단이 식전 공연으로 고난도 격파와 화려한 발차기 기술 등을 선보임으로써 태권도시범의 역동적이고 활력 넘치는 매력을 마음껏 뽐냈고, 관객들의 열띤 호응도 함께 이끌어냈다고 했다.

의정부시 태권도시범단은 지난 10월 창단식을 개최해 활동 중에 있으며, 관내 초·중·고·대에 재학 중인 총 36명의 시범단원과 3명의 지도자로 구성되어 있다고 전했다.

김근정 의정부시태권도시범단 단장은 “창단 후 첫 시범공연을 성공적으로 마친 태권도시범단 지도자와 단원 여러분께 축하의 말씀을 드린다”며 “앞으로도 태권도의 위상을 드높이는데 주력할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
