이날 회의는 김종석 부시장, 소성규 정책자문위원장, 김용훈 기획행정실장, 각 분과위원장 등 20여명이 참석했으며, 회의는 논의 안건에 따라 1부 ‘2021 양주발전방안 연구논문 발표’와 2부 ‘2022 정책자문위원회 운영 방안’으로 나눠 진행했다고 전했다.

1부에서는 지난 2월 각 부서에서 제안한 과제에 대해 분야별 전문위원이 수행한 연구논문 6건 중 소성규, 권세경, 정원희 위원의 공동과제인 ‘양주형 지역뉴딜 연구’, 최인환 위원의 ‘양주시 데이터 기반 행정 활성화 방안’, 김희연 위원의 ‘양주시 청년정책 기본계획’, 김연중 위원의 ’양주시 민방위 비상급수시설 환경 개선‘, 박진아 위원의 ’보건소 보건·의료 행정서비스 혁신 방안‘ 등 총 5개의 ‘2021 양주발전방안 연구논문’에 대한 발표 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

이어 2부에서는 시정발전을 위한 실질적인 정책제안·자문이 이뤄질 수 있도록 위원회 활성화를 위한 운영 방안을 비롯한 효율적인 연구과제 수행 방향 등에 대해 다양한 의견을 나눴으며, 정책 세미나, 자문활동 등 주요 현안사업의 조속한 해결을 위한 소통협력 체계를 강화하기로 약속했다고 전했다.

양주시는 이번 연구수행으로 도출된 성과가 행정서비스 개선 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 정책으로 연결될 수 있도록 자문위원과 관계부서 간 긴밀한 공조체계를 구축, 지속적인 정책발굴에 나설 예정이라고 했다.

김종석 부시장은 “양주시가 경기북부 중심도시로 도약을 이루기 위해서는 정책자문위원회의 수준 높은 고견과 창의적인 아이디어가 필요하다”며 “각종 시정정책의 차질없는 추진을 위해 배후에서 자문역할을 충실히 수행해 주시기 바란다”고 말했다.
