[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 14일 동두천시 생연2동 바르게살기위원회 이영숙 위원장은 생연2동 행정복지센터에 취약계층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 위한 사랑의 연탄 1천장을 기부, 코로나19 장기화로 기부손길이 줄어든 지역사회를 훈훈하게 하고 있다고 밝혔다.

이날 기부받은 연탄 1,000장은 기초생활수급자 중 연탄 보일러를 사용하는 가정 5곳을 정해 각 200장씩 연탄을 지원키로 했다고 전했다.

이영숙 생연2동 바르게살기위원회 위원장은 “앞으로도 에너지 소외계층이 없도록 연탄 나눔을 지속적으로 이어갈 계획”이라고 말했다.

김일 동장은 “올해도 코로나19로 모두 힘든 시기지만 이웃을 더 많이 돌아봐야 한다”며 “추운 겨울을 맞이해 따뜻한 기부를 하고 있는 생연2동 바르게살기위원장에게 깊은 감사말씀 드린다”고 전했다.
