[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 13일 동두천시자원봉사센터 소속 자원봉사단체 가비사랑은 두드림장애인학교와 관내 지역아동센터 2곳에 직접 만든 샌드위치와 핸드드립 커피 150여개를 포장하여 전달했다고 밝혔다.

가비사랑은 이날 코로나19로 인해 지쳐있는 두드림장애인학교 학생들과 교사, 관내 아동센터 2곳에 정성스레 만든 샌드위치와 선생님들께는 커피도 함께 제공하여 위로의 마음을 전하고자 하였다고 했다. 

그동안 가비사랑은 2021년 도민이 전하는 자원봉사 1차 지원사업 '경로당 및 요양시설어르신 핸드드립 커피 및 샌드위치 제공'에 선정되어 경기도 보조금 500만원의 사업비로 프로그램을 운영하고 동두천시 자원봉사센터가 협력센터로 활동했으며 이번 봉사로 가비사랑의 사업은 마무리되었다고 했다. 

가비사랑 이도영 회장 및 회원들은 “코로나19로 인해 원래 계획했던 바와 같이 경로당 및 요양시설 어르신들과 만나 커피체험 활동을 할 수 없어 많이 아쉽지만 이번 사업으로 누군가에게 작지만 위로의 마음을 전할 수 있음이 너무도 감사하다. 하루빨리 코로나19가 종식되어 편하게 어르신들을 만나 함께 체험할 수 있는 날이 왔으면 한다. 그런 날이 올 때까지 모두가 건강하길 바란다”고 전했다.
