김경수 명인은 명인전에 참여해 태평소, 북, 꽹과리, 징 등이 어우러진 국악 반주에 맞춰 ‘채상설장구춤’공연을 선보였고, 천안흥타령춤축제는 문화체육관광부 명예 문화관광축제로 선정됐으며 다양한 장르의 춤 경연대회를 비롯해 퍼레이드, 국제 춤대회 등 다채로운 공연을 즐길 수 있는 천안시의 대표 춤축제이라고 했다. 

한편, 해당 축제는 코로나19 감염 예방을 위해 전국에서 처음으로 자동차 공연장 방식으로 열렸으며, 모든 공연은 천안흥타령춤축제 홈페이지와 유튜브 채널을 통해 확인할 수 있다고 했다.
