[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 7월 30일 동두천시 신시가지 노점상인회는 주말을 맞아 지행역 및 신시가지 인근 환경정화 봉사활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

신시가지 노점상인회는 동두천시 행복홀씨사업에 가입되어 있는 단체로 지속적인 주말 봉사를 통해 신시가지 및 지행역 인근을 쾌적하고 깨끗하게 유지하기 위해 노력하고 있다고 말했다.

허훈 신시가지 노점상인회장은 “코로나19로 모두가 힘든 상황에서 우리 신시가지 노점상인회 회원들이 솔선수범하여 동두천시 환경정화에 앞장서게 되어 매우 기쁘며, 앞으로도 지속적으로 지역사회에 바람직한 활동을 보여주겠다” 고 밝혔다.

동두천시 관계자는 “코로나19로 인해 많은 인원이 모이기 힘듦에도 불구하고 환경정화 봉사활동에 나와주신 회원들에게 우선 감사드리고, 많은 사람들이 사용하는 지행역광장을 시민들께서 깨끗하게 사용하여 주시기를 바란다”고 전했다.
