[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 29일 동두천시 상패동 자율방재단은 시와 함께 상패동 농촌지역을 대상으로 폭염대비 예찰활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 자율방재단은 논밭 및 비닐하우스 등 작업장을 방문하여 폭염 취약시간대 휴식 및 온열질환 예방 행동요령 등을 안내했으며, 동두천시 지역자율방재단은 폭염에 따른 시민의 건강보호와 피해를 최소화하기 위해 무더위쉼터 점검, 취약계층 건강확인, 농촌지역 논밭옥외사업장 등에 대한 예찰활동 강화 및 지속적인 홍보를 진행하고 있다고 말했다. 

송준배 단장은 “코로나19 확산으로 방재활동이 제한적이지만, 소규모 단위로 계속되는 폭염에 시민들이 안전하게 무더위를 이겨낼 수 있도록 지속적인 방재활동을 실시하겠다”고 밝혔다.
