[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 24일 동두천시 상패동 새마을지도자협의회는 점차 더워지는 날씨와 더불어 급증하고 있는 파리, 모기 등 해충 퇴치를 위해 관내 취약지역 중심으로 방역활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이날 방역활동은 상패동 1~7통, 11~13통 마을 안쪽 골목길 및 주택가 구석구석을 돌며, 방역소독기로 연무소독을 실시했으며, 이와 동시에 지역 주민에게 여름철 말라리아 예방 전단지를 나눠주며, 일상생활에서의 예방수칙에 대한 교육도 진행했다고 말했다.  

마익수 새마을지도자 회장은 “올해는 더위가 일찍 올 것으로 예상됨에 따라 방역 취약지를 대상으로 더욱 적극적인 방역을 실시하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한영수 상패동장은 “바쁘신 중에도 지역 주민을 위해 일선에서 애쓰시는 상패동 새마을지도자협의회에 감사드리며, 동에서도 쾌적한 상패동을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
