[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 1일 동두천시는 신시가지 노점상협회에서 관내 장애인복지단체인 동두천시교통장애인협회에 70만원 상당의 이웃돕기 성품을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

신시가지 노점상협회는 매년 사회복지시설에 이웃돕기 성품을 기탁하는 등 취약계층을 위한 나눔 봉사를 꾸준히 실천해오고 있다고 했다.

허훈 회장은 “코로나19가 장기화되면서, 어려움을 겪는 지역사회 이웃들에게 희망을 전달하고 싶었다”며, “이번 나눔이 생계곤란을 겪고 있는 장애인을 돕는 일에 도움이 됐으면 좋겠고, 앞으로도 지속적인 나눔 실천을 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이번에 기탁된 성품은 70만원 상당의 컵라면으로, 교통장애인협회의 장애인지원사업에 쓰일 예정이라고 했다.
