의정부시의회는 ‘지방의정동우회법’ 제정을 통해 우리나라 지방자치제도의 정착을 위해 노력해왔던 전직 지방의원들의 긍지를 높이고 의정활동을 통해 현장에서 축적된 경험을 현직 의원들과 공유하여 의회 민주주의와 지역사회 발전에 기여 할 것이며, ‘택지개발사업 공공시설물 인계인수 제도 개선 촉구’ 건의문을 통해서는 택지개발사업에 따른 공공시설물 인계인수 시 지방자치단체의 결정 권한을 부여할 수 있는 제도 개선이 필요하다고 강조했다고 전했다.

오범구 의장은 “이번 건의문을 통해 지방자치행정의 효율적인 수행과 지방자치의 발전에 기여 할 것으로 기대하며, 앞으로도 의정부시의회 의원들은 적극적으로 조례 제·개정 발굴하는 등 활발한 의정활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 말했다.
