의정부시체육회는 지난 연말 법인설립을 위한 준비위원회를 구성하고 법인화 업무를 본격 시작했으며 창립총회 이후 의정부시에 법인 인가신청 및 경기도와 협의를 거쳐 설립등기를 하게 되며 국민체육진흥법 개정에 따라 오는 6월 9일자로 사단법인으로 출범하게 된다고 했다.
