[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 농촌의 고령화 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농업분야 일손부족 해결을 위해 외국인 계절근로자 배치·운영한다.

군은 농촌 인력부족 및 인건비 상승 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농가에 도움을 주기 위해 상반기 영농철에 외국인 계절근로자 342명을 81농가에 배치해 일손해결에 나선다.

군은 올해 법무부로부터 외국인 계절근로자 승인을 받아 지난 1월 라오스 노동사회복지부와 농업분야 교류 및 외국인 계절근로자 유치를 위한 MOU를 체결해 242명을 농협과 연계한 공공형 계절근로자 50명, 결혼이민자 초청 50명 등 총 342명을 농가에 배치한다.

군에서는 안정적인 외국인 계절근로자 투입을 위해 2월말까지 고유주인 농가와 외국인 계절근로자간 표준계약서 체결은 물론 근로자 숙소에 대한 위생·안전 등의 점검을 완료하고 농가에 근로자를 투입할 계획이다.

아울러 군에서는 필요한 시기에 농가일손 부족을 해결하고자 올해 기관·단체 및 자원봉사자 등 1,500여 명의 인력을 지원하는 영농봉사은행을 운영할 계획이며, 매년 큰 폭으로 증가하고 있는 농업기계 임대 수요에 대응하고 농작업의 효율적인 지원 및 농업 생산성 향상을 위해 농업기계 임대사업소 화암분소 신설사업을 상반기에 마무리하고 운영에 들어갈 계획이다.
