[서종협 기자 = 평창군] 평창군(군수 심재국)은 16일 군청 대회의실에서“너나없이 더불어 함께 잘사는 평창 만들기”라는 주제로「군민행복을 위한 평창발전 대토론회」를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 토론회는 평창군 정책방향과 주요사업에 대해 군민이 공감하고 새로운 정책을 제안하며, 보이지 않는 갈등, 이기주의, 불필요한 요소 등 군정 발전을 저해하는 요인에 대해 군민과 함께 개선방안을 찾고자 개최하게 되었다. 

또한, 고령화, 인구소멸, 지역 간 불균형, 기후변화, 강원특별자치도 출범 등 급변하는 대외 환경에 평창군이 선제적으로 대응해야 하며, 이에 따른 대안으로 PLAY 평창(새로운 활력을 만드는 평창), STAY 평창(일상이 즐거운 살 맛나는 평창), OKAY 평창(나누고 실천하는 화합 평창)비전을 제안했다.

청년인구 유입을 위한 과감한 주택공급 정책의 필요성, 스포츠 마케팅 강화 및 전지훈련팀 유치 방안, 소상공인 지원 확대, 김장축제 활성화 등 다양한 주제로 열띤 토론을 펼쳤다.

 이번 토론회를 통해 모든 참석자들은 평창의 발전을 위해서는 공정한 원칙 하에 선택과 집중의 발전전략이 필요하다고 공감했으며, 군민 행복을 위해서 모든 군민이 하나되고 화합하는 평창을 만드는 것을 가장 먼저 선행해야 할 과제로 뽑았다.
