[김택곤 기자=정선군] 지난 1월 12일부터 14일까지 코엑스에서 열린 '2022-2023 퍼스트 레고 리그(FIRST LEGO League)' 코리아 대회 챌린지 부문 본선에 진출했던 국민고향 정선의 징검다리스쿨 로봇팀이 혁신프로젝트 부문 특별상인 '뛰어난 혁신상'을 수상했다.

징검다리 로봇팀은 신재생 에너지를 둘러싼 사회 갈등을 해결하기 위한 “골바람 지붕발전소”라는 혁신적인 소규모 풍력 발전 솔루션을 제안하여 챌린지 부문 본선 대회 수상이라는 성과를 거두었다.

지난해 9월부터 12월에 걸쳐 진행된 한국대회 챌린지 부문 예선에는 전국에서 200개가 넘는 팀이 참가했으며, 올해 열린 본선 대회에는 3일 동안 모두 65개 팀이 참가하여 솔루션을 발표하고 실력을 겨루었다.

“징검다리 슈퍼파워” 팀은 지난해 12월 3일 온라인으로 진행된 퓨처디자이너 지역 예선에서 ‘로봇게임상’을 수상한 데 이어 이번에 열린 본선 첫 도전에서 ‘혁신프로젝트’ 특별상을 수상하는 영예를 얻었다.
