[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시가 2022년 해수욕장 운영평가에서 ‘시설개선 지원 부문’우수 해수욕장에 망상해수욕장이 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

이에따라, 해양수산부로부터 국비 1억원을 확보하는 성과를 올렸다.

망상해수욕장은 수상안전오토바이 배치를 통한 안전한 물놀이 시설조성과 관광객 프리존 확대 운영으로 시민에게 해변을 돌려주는 계기를 마련하고, 

특히, 안전시설 설치와 편의시설 확충 등 드론 음식배송서비스를 통한 이용객 중심의 테마해수욕장 운영에서 높은 점수를 받았다.

코로나19 방역 관리에 평가 중점을 두었던 지난 2년과는 달리, 올해는 해수욕장 시설 관리, 이용객 만족도, 테마해수욕장 활성화 노력 및 발전가능성 등을 항목을 평가했다.

이인섭 관광개발과장은 “코로나19가 끝나지 않은 상황에서 생활방역 수칙을 준수한 관광객들에게 감사의 말을 전하며, 앞으로도 안전하고 다양한 즐거움을 누릴 수 있는 해수욕장을 운영하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
