[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 25일과 27일 2회에 걸쳐 포천시는 통합사례관리 대상자로 선정된 국가유공자 저소득 홀몸 어르신 가구의 주거환경 개선사업을 민·관이 함께 시행했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 대상가구는 독거 및 고령의 국가유공자 복지사각지대 발굴·지원계획에 따라 일동면 찾아가는 보건복지팀과 화현면이 함께 2월 초에 가정방문해 초기상담을 진행한 후 내부사례회의를 거쳐 통합사례관리대상자로 선정됐다고 했다.

이번 주거환경개선 사업은 1차로 화현면 소재의 자원봉사단체, 지역사회보장협의체, 주민자치위원회, 적십자봉사회, 새마을부녀협의회, 이장단협의회, 화통누리 후원회 등에서 주거지 청소 및 분리수거 등을 지원했으며, 2차로 사랑나눔회 회원들이 목공을 비롯하여 전기공사, 도배·장판 그리고 창호 교체 등을 지원하여 단열이 어렵고 오래되어 낡았던 주거지를 민·관이 협력하여 개선한 사례라고 했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “코로나19의 어려운 상황 속에서도 민·관이 협력을 통해 주거환경을 개선할 수 있도록 힘써주신 자원봉사단체 모든 분께 감사하다. 시는 국가를 위해 헌신과 희생한 국가유공자 등 도움이 필요한 가구에 신속하고 적정한 복지서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 찾아가는 맞춤형 복지서비스를 강화해 나가겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
