포천시 홍보관은 올해 경기관광 대표 축제로 선정된 ‘산정호수 명성산 억새꽃 축제’를 중심으로 산정호수, 백운계곡 등 주요 생태관광지와 포천아트밸리, 하늘다리, 비둘기낭 폭포 등 TV드라마 및 영화 촬영지에 대해 홍보할 계획이라고 했다.

포천은 유네스코 생물권 보전지정으로 지정된 포천국립수목원과 유네스코 세계지질공원으로 지정된 포천한탄강이 위치하는 등 빼어난 자연경관을 자랑하고 있다고 했다.

포천시 관계자는 “전국 5대 억새군락지 중 하나인 산정호수 명성산에서 은빛 물결이 넘실거리는 억새를 보고 있으면 그 매력에 푹 빠져 자연적으로 힐링이 된다.”라며 “올해 하반기에 착공예정인 산정호수 명성산 케이블카 조성사업을 통해 향후에는 더 많은 관광객이 방문할 것으로 예상된다.”라고 말했다.
