장경복 위원장은 “주민 모두가 하나된 마음으로 공공기관 유치를 기원하고 있다”면서 “모두의 염원대로 공공기관이 양주시에 유치될 수 있도록 끝까지 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다. 

신영균 양주1동장은 “군사시설보호구역과 개발제한구역으로 인한 중첩 규제를 받아온 양주시야말로 공공기관 이전의 최적지”라며 “경기북부 균형 발전을 위해 양주시에 공공기관이 유치되어야 한다”고 강조했다.
