[김현우 기자 = 포천] 포천시 장애인복지시설협의회는 지난 16일 포천시 신북면 소재 허브아일랜드에서 ‘2023년 시설장애인 어울림 한마당’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 시설장애인의 친목도모와 비장애인들과의 만남을 통한 지역사회 참여 및 사회성 향상을 위해 마련됐으며, 장애인복지시설 20개소 이용장애인 및 종사자 450여 명이 참석했다.

이날 기념식에 앞서 식전 행사로 마홀 색소폰 앙상블과 포천시 장애인보호작업장 최예환 직원의 공연이 펼쳐져 참석자들의 많은 호응을 받았다. 오후 2부 행사에는 각 시설별로 체험활동과 산책 등을 진행했다.

기념식에서 정미숙 회장(해뜨는 집 원장)은 “시설 장애인과 종사자 모두 행복한 나들이가 되기를 바란다”면서 “장애인과 비장애인이 더불어 함께 살아가는 지역사회가 되기를 희망한다”고 말했다.

이날 행사에 참석한 백영현 포천시장은 “포천시는 소통과 신뢰를 통해 보다 세심한 정책을 펼쳐 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 행복한 도시가 되도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 포천시는 지난 2월 포천시 장애인네트워크연대와 장애인 권리증진을 위한 정책 협약을 체결했으며, 장애인형 국민체육센터와 다함께돌봄센터를 통합한 돌봄통합센터를 건립 중에 있다. 

또한, 발달장애인 가족을 위한 휴식기 지원사업과 장애인 이동권 보장을 위한 바우처택시 사업 등도 추진 중에 있다.
