[김택곤 기자=영월군] 한국생활개선영월군연합회는 15일 영월군농업기술센터 강당에서 생활개선회원과 내빈 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 제 회장 이․취임식을 개최했다.

이날 이․취임식에서는 최명서 영월군수와 심재섭 군의장이 그동안 농업․농촌 발전과 농촌여성 권익 신장을 위해 애쓴 김영숙 이임회장에게 공로패와 감사패를 수여하였다.

제15대 회장으로 취임한 장미자 신임회장은 “역대 회장님들이 이루어놓은 성과를 잘 이어받아 지역사회 발전에 적극적으로 참여하고 농촌여성의 지위 및 권익향상을 위해 앞장서는 모범적인 농촌여성단체가 되겠다.”라고 포부를 밝혔다.

생활개선영월군연합회는 9개 읍면회 285명의 회원을 가진 농촌여성 학습단체로서 1994년도에 결성돼 생활기술 과제교육 실천과  전통식문화 계승 및 향토음식 개발 등 중추적인 역할을 수행해 온 대표적 농촌여성 단체이다.
