[김택곤 기자 = 정선군] 정선군 농업기술센터 대강의실에서 '제14회 아리아리정선 농업대학 졸업식'을 31일 개최했다.

아리아리정선 농업대학은 사과전문학과를 운영하며 지난 2009년부터 현재까지 990명의 졸업생을 배출했다.  맛과 품질이 뛰어난 고랭지 사과를 재배하기 위해 많은 군민들이 농업대학에 참여하고 있다.

올해 14회를 맞은 아리아리정선 농업대학은 지난 2월부터 10월까지 사과전문학과에 32명의 학생들이 참여해 총 19회 76시간의 학사일정을 마쳤다. 이날 졸업식에서는 32명의 학생들이 졸업장을 받았으며, 학업우수자들에게 추가로 포상을 하였다.  

정선군에서는 고랭지의 특징인 밤낮의 온도차에 의하여 높은 당도와 좋은 빛깔, 아삭한 식감 등 품질이 뛰어나 소비자들로부터 최근 많은 인기를 끌면서 면적이 꾸준히 늘어나 현재 256ha까지 증가하였으며, 고품질 사과생산으로 농가의 주 소득작목으로 자리매김하고 있다.
