[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 4일 윤석열 대통령 당선인은 춘천역과 원주 부론산업단지, 강릉 중앙시장을 방문하며 강원 일정을 수행했다.

윤석열 대통령 당선인은 “강원도가 제대로 기지개를 켜기 위해선 사람과 물류가 자유롭게 이동할 수 있는 인프라가 갖춰지는 게 기본이다. 재정 여건이 허락하는 한 강원도의 교통 인프라 확충을 위해 저도 최대한 노력할 것을 다시 한 번 약속드린다”고 밝혔다.

윤 당선인은 이날 춘천역을 찾아 “선거 때 강원도를 경제 특별도로 발전시키고 많은 규제도 풀겠다고 도민들께 약속드렸다”고 말했다.

이어, “지역 발전에 필수적인 것이 접근성인데 GTX(수도권광역급행철도)-B 노선을 춘천과 연계하겠다고 했고 동서 고속화 철도도 촘촘하게 마무리를 해야 할 단계에 왔다”고 말했다.

그러면서 “정부가 재정 투자를 해야 하지만, 많은 기업이 강원에 투자할 수 있는 인프라를 구축해 줘야 한다”고 강조했다.

또한, “강원의 발전을 위해 날개를 달아주는 게 대한민국 발전에 크게 도움이 될 수 있는 상황까지 왔다. 더는 지체해선 안 된다”고 밝혔다.

강원도 경제부지사 김명중은 GTX 연결 사업과 관련해 “GTX-A와 B가 연장될 수 있도록 국가철도망 구축 계획에 반영하고 광역철도법 개정 조치가 필요하다”고 말했다.
