[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시 농업기술센터가 ‘2021 농업인대학 운영 우수기관’으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

지난 17일 원주시 농업기술센터는 농촌진흥청 주관으로 열린 ‘2021 농업인대학 우수기관 경진대회’에서 2년 연속 우수기관에 선정되는 영예를 안았다고 밝혔다.

원주농업대학은 2004년 복숭아과 과정을 시작으로 2020년까지 2,072명의 졸업생을 배출하는 등 미래 원주농업을 이끌어 갈 유능한 전문농업인 양성에 크게 기여하고 있다고 했다.

올해는 복숭아과, 토종다래과, 농업마케팅과, 기초농업과 등 총 4개 과정을 운영하고 있으며, 오는 12월 중순 졸업식을 개최할 예정이라고 전했다. 

원주시 농업기술센터 관계자는 “위드 코로나 시대를 맞아 온라인 실시간 교육과 집합교육을 결합한 다양한 블렌디드 프로그램 개발 및 수요자 중심의 맞춤형 교육을 통해 농가소득에 도움이 될 수 있는 농업대학으로 육성해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
