화훼장식기능사는 한국산업인력공단에서 시행하는 국가기술자격증으로 화훼장식 전문성을 가지고 꽃, 식물, 화초 등 화훼류를 이용해 미적 효과가 높은 장식물의 계획, 디자인, 제작, 유지, 관리하는 기술과 관련된 모든 업무를 수행한다고 했다.

양주시 농업기술센터 관계자는 “이번 교육을 통해 자격증을 취득하여 화훼분야 일자리 창출에 기여할 수 있도록 단계적이고 효율적인 교육, 훈련 과정을 제공에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
