텃밭상자는 하단으로부터 위쪽으로 자동급수가 돼 식물에 물을 직접 주지 않아도 간편하게 식물을 재배할 수 있는 기능성 텃밭으로 상추, 시금치 등의 잎채소는 물론 감자, 당근 등 뿌리채소와 토마토, 가지 등 열매채소까지 재배하고 수확할 수 있다고 했다.
