이날 이춘우 동장은 독거어르신에게 이웃돕기 물품 전달하며 안부를 확인하고, 현재 겪고 있는 어려움 및 필요사항을 파악했고, 중앙동 행정복지센터 맞춤형 복지팀은 중앙동장의 총괄아래 코로나19로 인해 더욱 이웃의 관심에서 소외된 저소득 독거어르신들을 지속적으로 관리하기 위한 장기계획을 수립하여 실행하고 있다고 말했다.
 

또한, 통장 및 사회단체, 이웃의 제보 등을 통해 관심과 도움이 필요한 새로운 독거어르신도 지속적으로 발굴할 계획이며, 공공서비스뿐만 아니라 후원이 가능한 민간단체 및 기관의 후원을 연계할 예정이라고 했다.
