새롭게 취임한 김경식 신임 지회장은 “공감과 나눔에 가치를 둔 예술인들과 함께 만들어가는 예총, 소통과 존중으로 배려하고 화합하는 예총, 세대 간 소통방식 전환 등 새로운 변화의 동두천 예총을 만들겠다.”고 당선소감을 밝혔다.

김경식 지회장은 중앙대학교를 졸업하여, 한국음악협회 동두천지부장, 동두천 락 페스티벌 조직위원장, 동두천 윈드오케스트라 단장 등을 역임했다고 한다.
