[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군에서 도암댐 갈등 해결을 위한 도암댐 수질개선 및 갈등조정 실무회의가 개최되었다.

30일 정선군청 소회의실에서 열린 제3차 도암댐 수질개선 및 갈등조정 실무회의에는 강원도, 한수원, 원주지방환경청, 정선군, 강릉시, 평창군, 영월군 등 7개 관계기관에서 참석했다.

강원도 주관으로 개최되고 있는 도암댐 수질개선 및 갈등조정 실무회의는 지난 4월 15일 평창군 대관령면 행정복지센터에서 1차회의가 개최되어 실무회의 운영방법 및 갈등조정 협의체 구성의 필요성에 대하여 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

또한 9월 16일 강릉 녹색도시체험센터에서 열린 2차 회의에서는 강원도에서 “도암댐 갈등조정을 통한 합리적 물 이용방안 연구용역” 추진에 대하여 제안하고 용역 실시 여부 및 추진방향에 대하여 논의했다.

3차 회의에서는 용역의 과업 기본개요 및 세부내용에 대한 설명과 함께 각 기관별 의견 제시와 논의하는 시간을 가졌으며, 이날 제시된 의견과 논의 사항을 적극 검토해 용역 추진방법을 최종 결정할 예정이다.

이날 정선군에서는 관계기관들이 어렵게 도암댐 문제해결을 위하여 머리를 맞대는 자리인 만큼 지난 2005년 당시 정부의 조정과 관계기관들의 합의로 국무조정실에서 결정한 댐의 용도는 원칙적으로 홍수조절용 사용, 호소수질기준 Ⅱ등급 이상 안정적인 수질개선, 댐내 퇴적물 처리방안 수립 등 국무조정실 결정사항에 대하여 관계기관별 이행사항이 조속히 추진될 수 있도록 세부 방안을 결정하여 더 이상의 소모적인 갈등이 종식되어야 한다고 피력했다.
