[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 17일부터 4월 29일까지 양주시는 ‘2022년 여성청소년 생리용품 보편지원 사업’1분기 신청을 접수한다고 밝혔다.

‘여성청소년 생리용품 보편지원 사업’은 경기도에서 진행하는 사업으로 올해 양주시가 새롭게 참여하면서 보편복지 실현에 한 걸음 더 나아가고 있다고 했다.

지원대상은 관내 주소지를 둔 만 11세에서 18세 여성청소년으로 신청을 통해 생리용품 구매비용을 지원받을 수 있고 다만 여성가족부사업 지원금을 받는 청소년은 제외된다고 했다.

지원금액은 1인당 월 12,000원으로 지역화폐로 지급될 예정이며 올해 12월 31일까지 사용할 수 있고, 지급된 지역화폐는 주소지에 있는 지역화폐 가맹점인 CU, GS25, 세븐일레븐, 이마트24에서 생리용품 구입에만 사용 가능하다고 전했다. 

신청을 희망하는 여성 청소년들은 신청기간에 온라인으로 신청사이트를 통해 접수하거나 주소지 읍면동 행정복지센터에서 방문 접수하면 되고, 기타 자세한 사항은 양주시 체육청소년과 청소년팀으로 문의하면 안내받을 수 있다고 전했다.

또한 생리용품 신청은 1분기(3월 17일~4월 29일), 2분기(5월 19일~6월 1일), 3분기(7월 14~27일), 4분기(10월 6~19일) 등 4회로 나눠 실시할 예정이라고 했다.

양주시 관계자는“청소년들이 가격부담 없이 위생용품을 구매할 수 있도록 앞으로도 여성 청소년들의 복지 향상을 위한 사업을 적극 발굴하는데 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
