기존 인유두종 바이러스(HPV) 예방접종 무료 대상은 만 12세 이하 여성 청소년이었으나, 이번에 만 13~17세 여성 청소년과 만 18~26세 저소득층(기초생활보장수급자, 차상위계층) 여성까지 확대하기로 했다고 전했다.

대상자는 3월 14일부터 원주시보건소 2층 예방 접종실 또는 관내 57개 위탁의료기관에 신분증을 지참해 방문하면 된다고 했다.

장향옥 의료지원과장은 “15~34세 여성에게서 높은 발생률을 보이는 자궁경부암 예방을 위해 접종을 당부드린다.”라고 말했다.
