국민가수 김성준 씨는 포천고등학교를 졸업한 청년으로, 작년 12월 중 방영된 ‘내일은 국민가수’ 프로그램에 출연해 뛰어난 가창력과 천재적인 기타 연주로 깊은 인상을 남겼으며, 유튜버 박현지, 김희준 씨는 동남고등학교 재학 중 유튜브를 시작해 10~20만 구독자를 확보한 인플루언서로 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있다고 했다.

포천시는 ‘시민과 함께하는 포천 브랜딩’의 일환으로, 유튜브에서 활동 중인 포천 출신 인플루언서를 발굴해 격려하고, 청소년들에게는 꿈을 키울 수 있는 동기를 부여하고자 이번 행사를 마련했다고 전했다.

포천시는 오는 8월 중 시민들의 1인 미디어 역량 개발을 위해 포천시 영상미디어센터 개관을 앞두고 있으며, 또한, 앞으로도 각 분야에서 인플루언서로 활동하고 있는 유튜버를 지속적으로 발굴해 포천을 알리는 일에 참여할 수 있도록 다양한 시책을 개발해 운영할 계획이라고 했다.
