[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 23일 포천시는 2021년산 정부양곡 ‘공공비축미곡’ 총 421톤 ‘산물벼 168톤, 건조벼 253톤’을 수매 완료했다고 밝혔다.

정부양곡 매입 품종은 대안, 맛드림 2개 품종으로 사전에 포천시로부터 출하물량을 배정받은 농가를 대상으로 실시했고, 매입된 미곡은 국립농산물품질관리원 포천·연천사무소의 등급판정 후 선단동에 있는 정부양곡 창고에 보관하며, 내년 기초생활수급자 및 노인복지시설, 군량곡용으로 가공해 보급될 예정이라고 했다.

공공비축미 매입 가격은 등급판정에 따라 매입 직후 1포 40kg당 우선지급금 3만원을 지급하고 추가지급금은 산지 쌀값 조사결과에 따라 오는 12월 31일에 정산 지급된다고 전했다.

포천시 관계자는 “코로나19 확산과 기상이변 등 열악한 환경 속에서도 우수한 쌀 생산에 전념해주신 농민분들께 감사드린다.”라며 “쌀 수급 안정화 및 가격안정에 힘 쓰겠다.”라고 말했다.
