이날 교육 참석자들은 체온측정 및 출입자 명부 작성 등 사회적 거리두기 방역수칙을 준수하여 축산물 위생관리, 축산물 영업자 준수사항 등의 축산물 위생 교육을 받았다고 했다.

이 자리에서 한옥석 농업축산위생과장은 코로나19로 축산물 판매업 영업자들이 어려운 상황에 놓여 있는 상황에 공감하며, “안전한 축산물에 대한 국민들의 관심이 증가하는 추세에 발맞춰 철저한 위생관리로 국민들이 믿고 찾을 수 있는 축산물을 판매해 축산물 소비가 촉진될 수 있기를 바란다”고 전했다. 

한편 현행 축산물위생관리법상 축산물가공업, 식육포장처리업, 식육즉석판매가공업, 식육판매업 등 축산업 영업자는 매년 3시간, 신규영업자는 6시간, 행정처분을 받은 영업자는 처분을 받은 날부터 6개월 이내 4시간의 축산물 위생교육을 수료해야 한다고 밝혔다.
