[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시장애인보호작업장은 한국장애인개발원에서 중증장애인직업재활지원사업 수행기관 특별예산 및 꿈앤카페 긴급 고용유지자금을 지원받았다고 밝혔다. 

동두천시장애인보호작업장은 한국장애인개발원에서 지원받은 지원금으로 이용장애인들의 재활서비스 제공을 위한 기자재 구입과 햇살꿈앤카페에 종사하는 근로 장애인의 임금 지원에 사용할 계획이라고 했다.

동두천시장애인보호작업장은 지난 2020년 12월부터 한국장애인개발원의 ‘중증장애인 직업재활 지원사업’ 수행기관으로 선정되어 연간 4,500만원 규모로 관내 중증발달장애인들의 직업능력 향상을 위한 프로그램을 운영하고 있으며, 2021년 1월부터는 한국장애인개발원의 지원을 받아 개소한 햇살꿈앤카페를 인수하여 관내 장애인들의 자립지원을 위해 노력하고 있다고 전했다.

동두천시장애인보호작업장 윤동인 원장은 “우리 보호작업장이 한국장애인개발원에서 추진하는 사업들에 참여하며 관내 중증발달장애인들의 안정적인 고용기회 확대, 다양한 직업훈련 프로그램 개발 등의 직업재활서비스를 수행해 오고 있는 가운데 추가적인 지원을 받게 되어 매우 감사하게 생각하며 보다 적극적인 사업 운영으로 장애인들의 자립지원을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
