[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8일 영중면지역사회보장협의체와 영중의용소방대는 맞춤형급여 대상자 가구를 방문해 주거환경개선 활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다. 

대상 가구는 고령 부부로 거동이 불편하여 집 정리를 하지 못한 채 생활하고 있었고, 안타까운 사연을 접한 영중면 지역사회보장협의체는 영중의용소방대원들과 함께 청소와 전기선 교체 등의 봉사를 실시했다고 했다.

이창수 위원장은 “사연을 듣고 집안을 살펴보니 낡은 전선들이 눈에 들어와 의용소방대의 도움을 받아 전선도 교체하게 되었다.”라며 “어르신들이 화재의 위험에서 벗어나 안전하게 생활하실 수 있어 마음이 놓인다.”고 말했다.
