태양광 LED 도로명주소판은 별도의 전기장치 없이 낮 시간대(오전 10시~오후4시) 흡수한 태양빛으로 전기를 생산해 밤에 불을 밝히는 친환경 시설물로 어두운 밤거리 보조조명 역할을 톡톡히 할 뿐만 아니라 위급한 상황 발생 시 자신의 위치를 신속하게 알릴 수 있어 방범 효과도 매우 높다고 했다.

회천2동은 이번 사업을 통해 여성, 어린이, 노인 등 안전 취약계층에 대한 범죄 발생 위험을 줄이고 어두웠던 도시 미관을 개선에 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다고 전했다.
