[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 양주시가 코로나19 장기화로 영농활동에 애로가 많은 고령·여성·청년 농업인을 대상으로 현장전문가의 기술노하우와 현장진단 장비를 활용한 영농기술지원 서비스 제공에 나선다고 밝혔다.

이번 지원사업은 농업현장에서 발생하는 애로사항을 신속하게 진단·처방하고 체계적인 작목육성을 위한 농업인의 역량강화를 위해 양주시 기술지원과 소속 직원 10명으로 구성된 ‘현문현답(현장에 답이 있다)’ 학습동아리에서 추진한다고 했다.

중점 현장지원 분야는 시설원예, 과수, 특용작물, 밭작물, 수도작 등 총 4개 분야라고 전했다.

학습동아리 회원은 분야별 4개조로 나뉘어 작물별 병해충 원인진단, 시기별 장애에 따른 생리진단, 농약 안전기준 미준수에 따른 진단, 이상기후에 따른 기상피해 지원, 토양분석에 따른 작물 영양진단 등 실제 영농과정에서 경험할 수 있는 한계점에 대해 진단하고 기술보급을 지원한다고 했다.

또한 현장민원이 신속하게 처리될 수 있도록 첨단 현장진단 장비의 활용, 해결방안 모색을 위한 조별 디자인씽킹 활동 등을 통해 민원 접수 후 3일 이내로 진단결과를 전달한다고 했다. 

특히 학습동아리는 전문지식과 실무경험을 바탕으로 유의미한 연구성과 발굴을 위해 매월 셋째 주 목요일마다 전 회원이 참여하는 정기적인 모임과 토론을 실시하는 등 조직 내 협업문화가 자리 잡을 수 있도록 노력할 예정이라고 했다.

양주시 농업기술센터 관계자는 “전문지식을 갖춘 현장전문가가 현장진단 장비를 활용해 작목별 다양한 분석과 처방을 통한 신속한 문제해결로 관내 재배농가에 큰 호응을 얻고 있다”며 “이번 사업을 통해 추출한 연구결과는 향후 맞춤형 현장교육 사례로 활용할 계획”이라고 말했다.
