뇌병변 장애인 본인이나 친족, 그 밖의 관계인 등 대리인이 신청서,  일상생활동작검사결과서가 첨부된 진단서, 복지카드 등을 가지고 주소지 읍면동 행정복지센터를 방문해 신청하면 된다고 전했다.

지원대상으로 선정되면 분기별로 구입한 영수증을 주소지 읍면동 행정복지센터로 제출 시 매월 5만원 한도 내에서 기저귀 구입비용의 50%를 지원받을 수 있다고 했다.

양주시 관계자는 “이번 지원사업이 일상생활에 제약이 있는 뇌병변 장애인의 위생관리를 돕고 신변처리용품 구입에 따른 경제적 부담을 경감할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
