[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 오는 5일부터 21일까지 시청 3층에서 고선영, 정원진의 두 번째 협업전시 ‘하늘사진 캘리그라피-그래, 하늘’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 전시회는 수준 높은 미술 창작 활동을 하고 있는 시민과 단체를 대상으로 전시 공간을 무료로 지원하고자 양주시립장욱진미술관에서 추진하는 공공기관 내 찾아가는 무료전시 프로젝트 ‘우리동네 작은미술관’의 일환으로 마련됐다고 했다.

정원진의 사진과 고선영의 캘리그라피로 구성된 ‘하늘사진 캘리그라피-그래 하늘’ 전은 서로 다른 매체의 공동 작업을 위한 두 작가의 고민이 고스란히 담긴 두 번째 협업전으로, 전국 곳곳을 다니며 촬영한 형형색색의 하늘 사진 위에 고선영 작가 특유의 부드러운 서체를 더하여 일상 속에서 느껴지는 여러 감정을 표현한 작품 22점을 선보인다고 했다.

전시는 주말과 공휴일을 제외한 평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 양주시청을 방문하는 시민 누구나 무료로 관람 가능하다고 전했다. 

양주시 관계자는 청사 내 전시 공간에서 “그동안 회화, 조각, 서예, 사진 등 여러 분야의 예술작품들을 선보이고자 노력했다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 예술작품을 전시하고 또 시민들이 편안하게 감상할 수 있는 공간이 되도록 운영에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 고선영 작가는 2022년 노원문화재단 공동기획전 ‘쓰고 보고 그리며 생각 셋’을 비롯한 다수의 전시에 참여했으며, 2019년 캘리그라피디자인센터 서울예찬 공모전에서 대상을 수상했다고 전했다.

또한 정원진 작가는 음악과 사진을 주 매체로 활동하며 2015년 첫 작곡집 ‘소통’을 발매했고 현재는 음악작업과 함께 국내 곳곳의 하늘을 촬영하는 사진작가로 활동 중에 있다고 했다. 

두 작가는 캘리그라피와 사진을 융합한 작업을 함께 진행해오며 첫 협업전시로 2021년 ‘일상, 그 소중함에 대하여’를 개최한 바 있다고 전했다.
