[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 13일 오전 11시 춘천쎄오 이상민(국민의힘 춘천시장 예비후보)이 춘천시청 브리핑룸에서 “비행기 타고 춘천 가자”에 이은 제2차 정책발표회를 가진다고 밝혔다. 

이상민 춘천시장 예비후보는 옛 캠프페이지 부지에 레고랜드와 연계하는 ‘춘천문화관광벨트’를 조성해 수도권 및 대한민국 전체 관광객을 춘천시내까지 유입시킨다는 계획이라고 전했다.

지난번 영상을 통해 공개했던 ‘춘천문화관광벨트’에 “컨벤션센터 기능을 겸비한 대형 숙박시설로 각종 국제행사를 춘천에서 개최하는 데 전혀 문제가 될 것이 없도록 하겠다”고 밝히며, 춘천이 수도권 관광지를 뛰어넘어 아시아 최대 관광허브가 되도록 하겠다는 계획이라고 했다.

특히 국내뿐 아니라, 전 세계 유명관광지에는 야시장이 활성화되어 있어, 야시장이 관광객을 끌어들이는 요인이 되기도 하며, 지역상권과 지역경제에 큰 도움이 되고 있다고 했다.

이상민 춘천시장 예비후보는 대한민국에서 처음 시작됐던 포장마차 문화를 다시 연다는 계획을 세우고 있으며, 특히 레고랜드와 옛 캠프페이지 내 ‘춘천문화관광벨트’와 연계되도록 ‘공지천 포장마차’를 복원해 춘천을 찾는 많은 관광객에게 볼거리와 먹거리의 아름다운 추억을 제공한다는 방침이라고 전했다.

아울러 태권도의 종주국인 대한민국, 그 성지인 ‘국기원’을 춘천으로 유치한다는 야심 찬 계획을 하고 있고, 국기원 유치는 전라북도 무주군에서 시도했으나 거리도 너무 멀고 다양한 이유로 유치에 실패했다. 최근 경기도 광주시가 국기원 유치를 진행하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다고 했다.

수도권과 적절한 거리와 볼거리와 즐길 거리가 있는 춘천에 국기원이 온다면 훌륭한 춘천의 미래 먹거리가 될 것이라고 확신한다고 전했다.

무엇보다 전 세계에 뻗어나간 태권도와 시대를 거치면서 세계 흐름에 맞춰 진화해온 태권도 무예시범과 각종 공연, 그리고 박진감 넘치는 경기 운영이 되도록 개선된 장점으로 춘천은 지구촌 태권도인의 성지가 될 것이라고 했다.
