[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 20일 포천시새마을부녀회는 포천시새마을회관에서 포천시 청소년새마을봉사단 학생들과 ‘우리동네 행복밥상 밑반찬 나누기’ 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

경기도 보조금지원사업으로 진행된 이번 행사는 박윤국 포천시장, 이경묵 포천시새마을회장, 조규석 새마을지도자포천시협의회장, 정미옥 직장·공장 새마을운동포천시협의회장, 윤훈철 포천시새마을회 이사, 읍·면·동부녀회장, 포천시청소년새마을봉사단 학생들이 참석해 288개리 홀몸 어르신들을 위해 밑반찬을 정성스럽게 만들어 (유)도성개발에서 기증한 600만 원 상당의 곰탕과 함께 전달했다고 했다.

이정순 회장은 “홀몸 어르신들을 위해 밑반찬 행사에 참여해 주신 부녀회장님과 청소년새마을봉사단 학생에게 감사드리며 코로나19 확산이 줄어들지 않은 이 힘든 시기에 홀몸 어르신들이 물질적 어려움과 외로움, 우울증, 불면증 등 심리·정서적 어려움을 극복하여 건강하고 활기찬 노후를 보낼 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.

이경묵 회장은 “오늘 홀몸 노인분들을 위한 밑반찬 나누기 행사에 참석하여 주신 분들에게 감사드리며 포천시청소년새마을봉사단이 창단 이후 처음으로 새마을 행사에 같이 참여해 그 의미가 새롭다. 앞으로 포천시청소년새마을봉사단이 새마을지도자와 함께 소외계층 돕기 및 생명운동을 전개하도록 힘쓰겠다.”라고 전했다.
